Adobe transforms Premiere, Illustrator, and InDesign with AI
Adobe is taking a significant leap by integrating its artificial intelligence assistant, Firefly, into three of its core software programs: Premiere, Illustrator, and InDesign. This update goes beyond simply adding another tool. It's about revolutionizing the way we create and manage digital content. Firefly now has skills ranging from creating brand kits to product videos and storyboards. And best of all? Everything you create can be saved as a reusable element across multiple projects.
In Premiere, the AI assistant organizes assets into folders, batch-renames clips, identifies interview questions, and adds markers. In Illustrator, it reorganizes layers and checks for missing fonts. Firefly was already available in Express, Photoshop, and Acrobat, and now, backed by tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot, Adobe plans to expand even further, including Google Gemini and Slack soon.
Firefly: more than an assistant, a creator
Adobe is transforming Firefly, making it increasingly similar to Canva in terms of AI features. The new feature called Elements allows users to save AI-generated characters, objects, and locations for later use. Additionally, the Projects function stores existing assets in a single place, making it easier to share context, which is ideal for teams working on video series or brand campaigns.
Users can now describe a brand and its style or upload existing material to Firefly, which then generates a complete brand kit, including logos, visual identity, and color palettes. And it doesn't stop there: it's even possible to generate product videos from photos and create storyboards for videos. This is creative automation on another level.
Digital creativity in transformation
Adobe is committed to integrating AI into its applications, simplifying the use of tools that previously required multiple steps. The idea is clear: to use artificial intelligence to automate processes and free up time for creativity. With Firefly, Adobe is not just adding features, but redefining what it means to be creative in the digital world.
